The team at Horizon Communication Group are thrilled to announce that we have won the PRIA NSW Awards for Excellence ‘Government Sponsored Campaign’, for our work with the Environment Protection Authority on the Hey Tosser! Campaign. The Hey Tosser! Campaign saw Horizon Communication Group implement a world-first concept where 40 GPS-fitted water bottles were released into waterways across NSW. This ‘litter tracking study’ illustrated the impact that discarded litter has in and around waterways.
Apologies in advance for giving fear more air time with this post, but we at Horizon felt that trends in global politics during 2016 warrant closer analysis. The politics of fear is not unfamiliar. Just ask the opponents of the Gillard government’s carbon tax. But it’s rare to see it play out in so many countries in the same year. In 2016 fear has been at the centre of political strategies that have reshaped the world. From London to Brussels, Beijing to Manilla, Canberra to Washington – in this Year of The Monkey fear has been a potent weapon in public affairs.
On 7th June Horizon hosted over 30 business and communications leaders at Sydney’s State Theatre to introduce them to our new partners, US technology and digital reputation consultancy, Five Blocks. The event featured a presentation by Five Blocks CEO Sam Michelson who led a discussion about online reputation management and how leaders and communications professionals can influence search listings to ensure their brands are represented online in a way that reflects their business and brand objectives.
